Religion of Tolerance

Living in the Detroit area I can concur with this, we have more Muslims in our neighborhood monthly and they are very active in the schools preaching all the time about their "rights" and how tolerant we should be of their faith. However toleration is a one way street with them. We are to learn about Ramadan, etc. but they are not to learn about Easter or Christmas. What is below is very true.

The Basics of Islam

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races! Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs. I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.>> The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam complete> with a video.

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: "Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, " So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!"

The Imam was speechless.

I continued, "I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.

Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the "Diversification" training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized.

Please pass this on to all your e-mail contacts..

Places to Pray:

The Franciscan University of Steubenville

Tomb of the Unborn

One of the first in the country, the Tomb of the Unborn by its very presence challenges those who pray there to witness to the Gospel of Life. Dedicated on January 22, 1987, the fourteenth anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision that legalized abortion, this tomb stands as a memorial to the sanctity of life. On that snowy January day over 500 people walked in procession from Christ the King Chapel to the Tomb to witness the entombment of two aborted babies given the names Francis and Clare. Three other aborted children: Agnes, Jeremiah and Michael also rest in this tomb.

The procession to the Tomb is an integral part of the Annual pro-life memorial service held on the eve of January 21 as students and staff prepare to board the buses for the annual Pro Life March in Washington. As they stand and pray at the Tomb, an eternal flame burns brightly as a reminder of the devastation of Abortion, the slaughter of the Holy Innocents of our day.

"I'm Mike Pence and I'm Pro-Life!"

Indiana Congressman Mike Pence is a hero to conservatives. The former radio talk show host is a rising star in Republican circles for his efforts to cut the federal budget.

His staff collects a growing stack of headline stories and profiles from national publications. The conservative weekly "Human Events" named Pence Man of the Year for 2005. Previous winners include the president, Supreme Court justices, and prosecutor Ken Starr.

"He has emerged as a national leader in the conservative movement and I think that he would be someone that conservatives around the country would really appreciate it if he moved forward to higher levels of leadership in the future, exactly what that will be, who knows?" said Terry Jeffrey, Human Events.

Human Events picked Pence as man of the year because of a September news conference where he and other conservatives called for budget cuts to offset hurricane relief. He took on the Republican leadership by doing so, and with a lobbying scandal brewing on Capitol Hill, it may take a Democrat to explain the wisdom of passing up the opportunity to join leadership.

All the headlines grow from the fact that Congressman Pence is a fiscal conservative. He is also a social conservative, something he points out every year here at the March for Life in Washington.

"We must never relent, we must never tire, we must never lose heart in the cause of life," he told the crowd, finishing his speech with, "I'm Mike Pence and I'm pro-life."

Third Branch Calls On Senate Democrats To End Obstruction

Commends Chairman Specter for Moving on President's Renominations

Washington, D.C. - The Third Branch Conference, a coalition of grasstops leaders nationwide working to improve the federal courts, today commended Chairman Arlen Specter for moving forward on the President's recently renominated circuit court picks, Terrence Boyle and Jim Haines, for the 4th Circuit, and William Myers and Randy Smith, for the unbalanced 9th Circuit.

The Senate Judiciary Committee agenda today has all of these nominees listed as Chairman Specter announced on Fox News Sunay earlier in the week.

"The Chairman deserves credit for moving these renominations without delay. But I expect that the shrill noise you hear today will be the sound of Democrat senators whining," said Manuel Miranda, Third Branch's chairman and the former nominations counsel to Majority Leader Bill Frist.

While it is in the discretion of the Chairman whether these nominees who have alraedy had hearings will have to suffer through more, under the Committee's rules, Democrats may delay nominees for one week once they are put on the Committee agenda.

"It is petty and politically moronic if Democrats obtruct these nominees' votes. But that has not stopped them before," Miranda said.

Miranda called on Democrats to let these nominees get their Committee vote and to respect the Constitution by letting them go to a floor vote.

One nominee is.Jim Haines, the general counsel of the Department of Defense. A few weeks ago, the American Spectator's editor Quin Hillyer described the obstruction against him this way.

So what we have here is a nominee being held up because of a memo that he not only did not write but also did not adopt without significant modification, and being blamed for "torture" in a place to which the memo did not even apply, against the rules the nominee approved, carried out by people completely unaware of the memo, which memo itself did not, repeat not, express an approval of torture.

"If Democrats obstruct him, they will feed the GOP's message on Democrats making Americans less safe," warned Miranda.

Meanwhile, Judge Terrence Boyle is presently the longest waiting judicial nominee in history, nominated in May 2001. He sat on the Senate floor for over one year, Myers has been voted out of Committee twice already and has waited for over a year on the Senate floor calendar.

"Today George Bush's confirmation rate for circuit judges is the lowest of any president. But if Democrats continue the obstruction, the vote that matters is the one in November when the people decide," said Miranda.

Pence Calls On Congress To Pass No Amnesty Immigration Reform

U.S. Congressman Mike Pence offered the following remarks on the House Floor today about the Pence-Hutchison No Amnesty Immigration Reform bill.

"Thanks to the leadership of this House, the American people are convinced we have a serious problem with illegal immigration and the American people know the Senate bill, granting amnesty to 12 million illegal immigrants, is not the answer.

"There are many ideas of how we can move forward. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas and I have proposed a compromise that would put border security first and reject amnesty. After two years of border security only, our plan would set up a new guest worker program using American employment firms outside the United States. Illegal immigrants would be required to leave the country and apply at these Ellis Island Centers by submitting to a background check and health screening before being issued a two-year guest worker visa. They also would have to pass an English course to renew their visa. Our plan also includes tough employer sanctions that would drive companies and employees into this new system.
"Pence-Hutchison puts border security first, and once that is accomplished, it creates a new guest worker program outside the United States without amnesty and without creating a new federal bureaucracy.

"Some in Congress think we've done enough. I believe we must do more. Even in this contentious election year, the American people expect us to 'be strong, courageous and do the work' they elected this Congress to do."

Congressman Pence will be returning to "The Dickson/Chappell Report" this Saturday, September 9th, from 9:00-10:00 A.M. Eastern.
