National Democratic Convention Theme Song Selected

Remember the silly "Macarana" craze that swept across the Convention Floor when the Democrats elected that wretched Billy Bob Clinton?

Today, leading Democrats reported that they have selected as the Theme Song for their 2008 National Convention: "Ya Mujahid Fe Sabil Allah," which means, "Holy Warrior for the sake of Allah."

Here are a few of the lyrics

(Please note: this is a real song, folks, and very popular in some parts of the globe):

War is the day we all wish for,
Stand up Hero with our swords and join the thousands,
The whole world will witness tomorrow that we are Arabs,
Known for our war heritage that we perfected as an art form,
Hay mujahid for the sake of Allah!
Mujahid, martyrs for Allah!

Barack Hussein Obama: "Christophobic"

Micah Clark
Executive Director
AFA of Indiana

In an Apr. 10 interview with the homosexual magazine The Advocate, Sen. Barack Obama said that most black pastors are "homophobic". His reasoning was that such messages are coming from the pulpits of black churches because "most African-American churches are still fairly traditional in their interpretations of Scripture."

In other words, Senator Obama (who praised his own Pastor, Jeremiah Wright in interview for his views on homosexuality) believes that the Bible's clear teaching on this issue should be ignored or treated like Silly Putty to be twisted however one likes on issues. This may explain his comment that Christ's Sermon on the Mount was a basis for his support of same-sex marriage and his desire to overturn the Federal DOMA statute signed by President Clinton.

In response, Former NFL player and Senior Pastor of Antioch Bible Church in Redmond, Washington, Ken Hutcherson has told CNS news, "The new definition of 'homophobic' means anyone who stands against homosexuality as a sin is homophobic. That gives two choices to African-American pastors. They can either be Scriptural and demand righteousness from their flock, or they can drop Scripture and righteousness and support homosexuality."

Barack Hussein Obama - King of Deciduous Concealment

Over the last few days, Vets for Freedom PAC has run two aggressive ads asking Senator Obama tough questions about why he is willing to meet with foreign dictators, but not to meet with General Petraeus or his veteran constituents. And last night, in a direct response to our efforts, the New York Times reported that Senator Obama is now "considering" a trip to Iraq. We will work to ensure he makes the trip soon.

We are pleased that our efforts have received attention and support from media and political leaders alike. Vets for Freedom has been attacked by Senator Obama’s campaign; however, Senator McCain has embraced our message, telling a crowd in Reno, NV yesterday: "Now, why is it that Senator Obama wants to sit down with the President of Iran, but hasn't yet sat down with General Petraeus – the leader of our troops in Iraq?"

This morning, Michele Malkin wrote: "Vets for Freedom is effective. The Left doesn’t like effective, independent voices in the political arena." Unfortunate, but true.

As a result of this reality, rather than answer our substantive questions, outlets like the Huffington Post and New York Times called on Senators Lieberman and Graham to leave our Board of Advisors, because of the McCain campaign’s internal policy regarding outside groups.

As two of our strongest allies, Senators Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman have been steadfast in their support of Vets for Freedom and our mission, and we are proud to call them friends. However, as they continue to work with Senator McCain on his campaign, they must take a "leave of absence" from the Vets for Freedom Board of Advisors to avoid any appearance of coordination.

This morning, both Senators sent us a very supportive letter, which you can read HERE. We thank Senators Graham and Lieberman for their continued support of the men and women of our armed forces, and appreciate their support of our organization.

Red Alert! Warning! Taliban Attack Immanent!

This morning, from a cave somewhere in Pakistan, Taliban Minister of Migration, Mohammed Omar, warned the United States that if military action against Iraq/Afghanistan continues, Taliban authorities will cut off America's supply of convenience store managers and democrat candidates for President of the United States.

And if this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by Dell and AOL customer service reps., and then Motel 6 managers.

It's getting really, really ugly

Barack Hussein Obama Is A Big Fat Liar!

Obama's military claims inconsistent with records

Speeches apparently contradict autobiography, Army documents

Two days after a speech in which Sen. Barack Obama erroneously claimed his uncle helped liberate the Auschwitz concentration camp, inconsistencies remain regarding the much-touted military service of the presidential candidate's family.

During the Memorial Day speech in New Mexico, Obama suggested his grandfather, the late Stanley Dunham, engaged in combat. But the Democratic senator's autobiography says his grandfather never saw "real combat." Also, Army records apparently contradict Obama's claim his grandfather signed up the day after the Pearl Harbor attack.

As WND reported, Obama told the New Mexico audience, which included military veterans, his uncle was part of the division that freed Auschwitz. But bloggers and the Republican National Committee immediately pointed out the Nazi death camp was liberated by the Soviet Union in January 1945. The campaign later said it actually was Obama's great uncle who helped liberate Ohrdruf, a sub-camp of the Buchenwald Nazi concentration camp.

Obama several times has suggested his grandfather served in combat.

During Monday's speech, Obama said: "My grandfather marched in Patton's Army, but I cannot know what it is to walk into battle like so many of you."

Barack Hussein Obama Is Certainly Not Anyone's Hero!

On Friday, Vets for Freedom PAC released an advertisement featuring Iraq war veteran Sergeant Garrett Anderson. The ad points out that Senator Obama was unwilling to meet with Illinois veterans, has never met with General Petraeus, and hasn’t visited Iraq in over two years. The facts are the facts, and the ad speaks for itself.

Predictably, the ad sparked fierce opposition from anti-war elements (here, here & here) who accused us of being a “right-wing 527 attack organization.” Except, they forgot to do their research. Vets for Freedom is not a 527, nor an attack organization. Our 24,000 members and 50 state chapters comprise a cross-section of America’s veterans—Republicans, Democrats, conservatives, and liberals—all of which are interested in one thing: victory in Iraq, Afghanistan, and overall the War on Terrorism.

Today, we are releasing a second ad, featuring Iraq war veteran and Vets for Freedom member, Specialist Kate Norley. Kate, who served 16 months on the front lines as a combat medic, asks Senator Obama two simple, but powerful, questions:

Senator Obama, when will you finally decide to go back to Iraq, to see the progress first hand? And when will you finally decide to meet one-on-one, unconditionally, with General Petraeus?

The ad also talks about the incredible progress that has been made since Senator Obama last visited Iraq in January 2006: violence down 70%, civil war over, Al Qaeda decimated, political progress occurring, and the Iraqi Army taking the lead. The fact is—the surge has worked, and has moved America closer to overall success in Iraq.

It’s important that veterans ask the tough questions of our prospective leaders. Vets for Freedom PAC has no interest in attacking Senator Obama; we just want to know why he seems so uninterested about what is actually happening on the ground.

The Issue: Congressman's positions on wasteful government spending

Our Position: Rep. Pence's stances a slap at political expediency

Agree or disagree with him politically, even his most fervent critics would have to acknowledge that Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., is walking the walk in his position on wasteful government spending.

Pence, who represents parts of Bartholomew County in the Second Congressional District, raised several eyebrows several weeks ago, when he announced that he would not use the practice of legislative "earmarks" to gain Congressional support for local projects in his district in the 2009 budget year.

It's been a popular practice in Washington for several years and allows legislators to slip their requests into popular but often times unrelated legislation.

Few of his peers joined him in the effort, and some criticized the principled stand on the grounds that other legislators would simply get the money for their districts that could have gone to this area.

He took another principled stance last week, when he voted against a farm bill, the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008.

The bill passed the House by a wide margin, but Pence registered his opposition to the measure - which would benefit many of the farmers in his district - because of his belief the bill would cost American taxpayers more than $650 billion over the next 10 years.

His position on these forms of government spending likely will cost him some votes, especially since so many of his colleagues have followed merrily the traditional path of political expediency.
At least he is remaining true to his convictions.

"At $4 a gallon, what's it gonna take for Congress to take action to lessen our dependence on foreign oil?"

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence gave the following speech today on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, urging Congress to take action to lessen dependence on foreign oil and to give the American people greater access to more domestic sources of oil.

"This morning in my hometown of Columbus, Indiana, gasoline hit $3.99 a gallon, just shy of $4.00.

"So I rise this morning to ask my colleagues: 'What's it gonna to take? What's it gonna to take to get this Congress to take action to lessen our dependence on foreign oil?'

"Democrats think we can tax our way to lower gas prices, or this week, sue our way to lower gas prices.

"But the American people know the only way to lessen our dependence on foreign oil is to lessen our dependence on foreign oil.

"Only by drilling in an environmentally responsible way on American soil and off American shores can the American people increase global supply and reduce the price of oil.

"As Memorial Day weekend approaches, and as Hoosiers headed to the lake see gasoline prices blow past $4.00 a gallon, I urge my fellow Americans, after $4.00 a gallon, after years of inaction, ask this Congress: 'What's it gonna to take to give the American people more access to American oil?'"

Cal Thomas: Congressman Mike Pence's Vision

"Get back, get back. Get back to where you once belonged." - The Beatles

The Republican Party is in distress. Doomsayers are everywhere. Republican National Committee Chairman Robert M. Duncan complains that conservative, pro-life, pro-gun Democrats won three special elections by stealing GOP issues.

"We can't let the Democrats take our issues," Duncan told the New York Times. "We can't let them pretend to be conservatives and co-opt the middle and win these elections. We have to get the attention of our incumbents and candidates and make sure they understand this."

Democrats didn't steal your issues, sir. You abandoned them. Your party discarded them. Democrats simply engaged in dumpster harvesting.

Unable to win by labeling Democrats "liberals," Republicans don't know what to do. Labeling worked before. Why isn't it working now? The answer is that it only works in combination with superior ideas, which you then contrast to those of your "liberal" opponent. You can't do that credibly unless you have embraced those ideas and sought to implement them. Republicans traded in their ideas in favor of gaining and keeping power as their sole objective. The party wants credit for giving lip service to its abandoned ideology while it practices cave-in politics.
John McCain has promised to bring Democrats into his Cabinet and work with Democrats in Congress. Does that mean ideas don't matter? Does it mean that when Democrats disagree with him he will embrace their ideas just to get along? If so, why should voters vote Republican? They might as well vote for Democrats and get their liberalism straight-up.

Which of the principles articulated by Ronald Reagan, and the conservative revolution he led, does the GOP believe has failed? Lower taxes? Reduced spending and smaller government? Self-reliance? Strong defense? Defeating our enemies so they will fear and respect us, instead of appeasing them in hopes that they might like us? If such principles remain valid, why don't more Republicans articulate them?

I asked Rep. Mike Pence, Indiana Republican, about this. Pence is one of the shrinking number of Republicans who still has principles on which he stands. What is his vision for a GOP resurgence?

Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs

The seven dwarfs always left to go work in the mine early each morning. As always, Snow White stayed home doing her domestic chores.

As lunchtime approached, she would prepare their lunch and carry it to the mine. One day as she arrived at the mine with the lunch, she saw that there had been a terrible cave-in.

Tearfully, and fearing the worst, Snow White begancalling out, hoping against hope that the dwarfs had somehow survived. 'Hello!...Hello!' she shouted. 'Can anyone hear me? Hello!' For a long while, there was no answer.

Losing hope, Snow White again shouted,'Hello! Is anyone down there?' Just as she was about to give up all hope, she heard a faint voice from deep within the mine, singing . . ....'Vote for Barack Obama! - Vote for Barack Obama!'

Snow White fell to her knees, crossed herself and prayed,

'Oh, thank you, God!

At least Dopey is still alive'...

Bush apologizes to Iraq over Quran shooting

Government spokesman says words not enough, demands soldier stand trial

BAGHDAD - President Bush has apologized to Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and promised prosecution of a U.S. soldier accused of using a copy of the Quran for target practice, Iraq said on Tuesday.

Bush apologized in a telephone call on Monday with al-Maliki, who told him the incident had humiliated and angered Iraq's largely Muslim population, the cabinet said in a statement.

"The American president apologized on behalf of the United States ... promising to present the soldier to the courts," it said.A U.S. Embassy spokeswoman said that in the call Bush expressed his deep concern over the "completely unacceptable conduct of an American soldier."

A U.S. soldier has been disciplined and sent home after a bullet-riddled copy of the Muslim holy book was found at a shooting range near Baghdad on May 11. Tribal leaders also accused the soldier of writing offensive language inside the book.

U.S. military commanders in Iraq held a ceremony to formally apologize and present a new Quran to tribal leaders in the area where the incident took place. The No. 2 U.S. commander has also met Iraqi leaders to apologize.

The military has described the incident as "serious and deeply troubling" and stressed that U.S. soldiers respect Islam and the Koran.

There has been no violent backlash in Iraq, as has sometimes occurred elsewhere in the Muslim world after the Islamic faith is perceived to have been insulted, but the Iraqi government has called for the soldier to be severely punished.

Pope Restates Gay Marriage Ban After California Vote

By Philip Pullella

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Benedict, speaking a day after a California court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage, firmly restated on Friday the Roman Catholic Church's position that only unions between a man and a woman are moral.

Benedict made no mention of the California decision in his speech to family groups from throughout Europe, but stressed the Church's position several times.

"The union of love, based on matrimony between a man and a woman, which makes up the family, represents a good for all society that can not be substituted by, confused with, or compared to other types of unions," he said.

The pope also spoke of the inalienable rights of the traditional family, "founded on matrimony between a man and a woman, to be the natural cradle of human life".

On Thursday, the California Supreme Court overturned a ban on same-sex marriages in a major victory for gay rights advocates that will allow homosexual couples to marry in the most populous U.S. state.

Last year, Italy's powerful Catholic Church successfully campaigned against a law proposed by the previous centre-left government that would have given more rights to gay and unmarried couples.

The Roman Catholic Church teaches that homosexuality is not sinful but homosexual acts are, and is opposed to gays being allowed to adopt children.

The California court found laws limiting marriage to heterosexual couples are at odds with rights guaranteed by the state's constitution.

U.S. President George W. Bush, who is opposed to gay marriage, prayed "for the family" with the pope at the White House last month during the pontiff's visit there.

Last year, Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, the head of the Italian Bishops Conference, made headlines with comments that critics said equated homosexuality with incest and pedophilia.

After he made the comments -- which Bagnasco said were misunderstood -- graffiti reading "Shame" and "Watch Out Bagnasco" appeared on the door of the cathedral in northern Genoa, where Bagnasco is archbishop.

The pope, who backed Bagnasco, will visit Genoa his weekend.

Opponents of gay marriage in the United States vowed to contest the ruling with a state-wide ballot measure for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriages.

Senator Barack Hussein Obama - Modern Day Senator William Borah

ABC News' Ed O'Keefe Reports: The Obama campaign is taking issue with a comment President Bush made while speaking to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel's statehood."

Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along," the President said to the country's legislative body, "We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is –- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

One-Year Earmark Moratorium Would Fund Relief at the Pump

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence announced today he is an original cosponsor of legislation to lower gas prices for Hoosier families. The Gas Tax Relief and Earmark Moratorium Act of 2008 would provide relief to American families and businesses from high gas prices with a three-month gas tax holiday that would be paid for by taking a reasonable and temporary timeout on earmarks.

"Hoosiers are struggling and frustrated every time they fill up their cars, trucks and tractors and it's time Congress took dramatic action to lower gasoline prices at the pump," said Pence. "This legislation would provide a temporary holiday from the federal gas tax from Memorial Day through Labor Day and would reduce the average cost of a fill-up at the pump by 18.41 cents a gallon. Congress must put relief at the pump over pork and pass a gasoline tax holiday and pay for it with a one-year moratorium on earmarks."

Pence noted that the bill fully pays for the three-month Gas Tax Holiday and protects the Highway Trust Fund by adopting a one-year moratorium on earmarks.

The bill also creates a Joint Select Committee envisioned by the Kingston-Wolf bill to make recommendations on how to fix the out-of-control earmarking process. This alone would save $14.8 billion and help make the earmarking process transparent and accountable to the American people.

Earlier this year, Congressman Pence declared a one-year moratorium on earmarks. Read his statement here<> .

WASHINGTON, D.C. (08 May 2008) – Shortly after the gruesome discovery of aborted babies in a dumpster behind Dr. Alberto Hodari’s Womancare abortion facility in early March, Citizens for a Pro-Life Society discovered the mutilated bodies of aborted babies in another dumpster at Women’s Advisory Clinic in Livonia, Michigan, owned by Dr. Reginald Sharpe.

“It is indeed representative of the evil times in which we live that we must stop and take time to grieve the loss of children whose parents clearly believed they were disposable in much the same way that rotting garbage would be,” said Brown “America is losing her soul.”

The bodies of at least six aborted babies were discovered in trash bags containing McDonald’s food wrappers, Olive Garden crackers, medical records and bloody medical waste. Following an April 30 investigation by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Sharpe received only a warning and no fines, as was the case with Hodari.

“Dr. Monica Miller’s most recent discovery is not only bone chilling, but a somber reminder of the total disregard for the rights of those human beings who have not yet been born,” said Judie Brown, president of American Life League. “We are told that the bodies of the babies found behind Reginald Sharpe’s abortion facility are legally defined as mere biohazardous waste and are thus treated as such. After all, that is the law.”

Earlier this week, Bishop John Quinn of the Detroit diocese offered a funeral Mass for the 25 aborted babies found behind Hodari’s facility in Lathrup Village. “We are grateful to Bishop Quinn for giving these babies the dignity and respect they were denied when they were tossed in the trash," said Brown. “We pray that the remains of these most recent victims will be treated with equal respect.”

American Life League was cofounded in 1979 by Judie Brown. It is the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life organization in the United States and is committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death. John McCain Statement Regarding Judicial Activists

My Friends,

We have a lot at stake in this presidential election. As a nation, we face manychallenges that will require real leadership from our next president. I have said before that this election will be about the big things, not the small things, and I write to you today about one big issue in particular - the future of the U.S. Supreme Court. If one of my Democratic opponents is elected in November, you canrest assured that given the opportunity to appoint judges, they will appoint thosewho make law with disregard for the will of the people.

There may be at least two vacancies on the United States Supreme Court during thenext presidential term. As president, I will ensure that only those judges whostrictly interpret the Constitution of the United States are appointed. I will nominate judges who understand that their role is to faithfully apply the law as written, not impose their will through judicial fiat.

If you want judges who will clearly and completely adhere to the Constitution of theUnited States and who do not legislate from the bench to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, then I ask that you join my campaign for president today by making a financial contribution.

I am proud to have played a role in the appointment and confirmation of two greatSupreme Court justices - Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito I need your support now so that as your president I can nominate judges like Justices Roberts and Alito. Judges who have proven themselves worthy of our trust. Judges who take as their sole responsibility the enforcement of laws made by the people'selected representatives. Judges who can be relied upon to respect the values of thepeople whose rights, laws and property they are sworn to defend.

My friends, the future of our country and of the Supreme Court is at stake in this election. If either Senator Clinton or Senator Obama is elected - both voted againstconfirming Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito - they will appoint activist judges. They will appoint judges who legislate from the bench.

I'm sure I don't have to remind you how important even one vote on the Supreme Courtcan be. Issues concerning states' rights, abortion, affirmative action, the SecondAmendment and religious freedom have all been decided by a very slim 5-4 margin.

America needs a leader who recognizes that the people and the states should decidewhat's best, not the courts. In order to be that leader, I need your financialsupport immediately.

Thank you for your support.

Third Branch Conference Laying Out Principles on Judges

For Immediate Release6 May 2008
Contact: Manuel Miranda,

Conservative Leaders Move to Adopt Guiding Principles for Republicans on Judges Applaud John McCain for Wake Forest Speech

Washington, D.C.

Today in Washington the Third Branch Conference, an association of over 150 grasstop leaders of the Conservative, Evangelical, Libertarian, and Values Voters movements, released a first draft of five principles to rally constituents and speak a clear message to the Republican presidential and senatorial candidates and Republican Senate leaders. The issuance of the "Third Branch Principles" coincides with a much-awaited speech on judicial nominations and the Judiciary.

"We applaud Senator McCain for his Wake Forest speech today, he clearly wants whatwe want," said Manuel Miranda, chairman of the Third Branch Conference. "We are pleased that his speech and our Principles coincide in their emphasis on two key aspects: judicial restraint in judging and seeking proven merit in nominating. In making this speech, Senator McCain is not reaching out to the the right wing. This is a 70/30 issue. He is speaking to millions of Americans, Republicans andDemocrats, who have felt daily affronts to their faith and values by the decisionsof un-elected judges."

The Third Branch Conference was first organized as the National Coalition to End Judicial Filibusters and triggered the Senate debate over the "nuclear option". The coalition opposed the "Gang of 14" compromise. As the largest coalition oforganizations ever assembled, TBC reorganized to oppose to the Supreme Court nomination of Alberto Gonzalez and to support John Roberts' nomination. Third Branch was the first voice to oppose the Miers nomination and supported the seating of Sam Alito. The Conference has consistently maintained independence from the White House and Republican Senate leaders and held their feet to the fire.

Once over 100 grasstop leaders have signed on to the Third Branch Principles, the five principles will serve as the basis for a new Republican Party platform plank. The statement of principles attached include 1) Do no harm, show judicial restraint. 2) No litmus tests or excessive respect for past error; 3) No more stealth nominations to the Supreme Court; 4) Federal judicial nominee must be openly debated and given an honest vote up or down; and 5) No religious tests. The fifth principle is a clear rebuke to the assaults by Senate Democrats on judicial nominees of faith, which was denounced by Jewish leaders, Catholic bishops and Evanagelical pastors.

The Third Branch Principles were publicly supported today by key leaders Paul Weyrich, Connie Mackey, Rev. Rick Scarborough, Phil Burress, widely believed to be responsible for the George W. Bush victories in Ohio in 2000 and 2004, Rabbi Aryeh Spero, Dr. Patricia McEwen of Life Coalition International, and Rev. Miquel Rivera, head of National Coalition of Latino Clergy & Christian Leaders, among others.

"With clear principles, we want to prevent the kind of embarrassment experienced byour friends and a president in October 2005 with the Miers nomination, and we want to prevent the disunity we experienced in May 2005 in the debate over the constitutional option," said Miranda. "We hope that Senator McCain and other leaders will come to affirm the Third Branch Principles."

"As a Senate leadership counsel, I know that John McCain was a good soldier on our extraordinary efforts to get the filibustered appellate nominees a fair vote. I believe John McCain would have voted for the constitutional option if another path had not been found to end the threat of a filibuster on the eve of expected Supreme Court vacancies. That was our first goal then and John McCain found a way to get us there," said Miranda.

Memo To Katie Couric: Exorcism Is Still A Viable Option

“He [Pope Benedict XVI] is very conservative. And I know a recent poll says 62 percent of Catholics believe the church isn’t reflective of their views. Does that mean entertaining issues like women as priests or use of birth control will be really off the table as long as he’s Pope?”

— CBS anchor Katie Couric to Father Thomas Williams on the April 15 Evening News.

Yes, Katie, they are all off the table, but fortunately for you, exorcism is still a viable option.

Barack Hussein Obama - United Nations Tax Scheme

The United States Senate may vote any day on the stealth imposition of what could amount to an $845 BILLION United Nations style global tax on American citizens?

It's called the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), and it is being sponsored by none other than Senator Barack Obama.

According to some conservative sources, this disastrous legislation could eventually force U.S. taxpayers to fork over as much as 0.7 percent of the nation's Gross Domestic Product -- or $845,000,000,000.00 -- on welfare to third-world countries.

This bill can come up for a vote at any time. Demand that our conservative legislators do whatever it takes -- a filibuster if necessary -- to stop this bill dead in its tracks.

And what would it cost to actually follow through on a strategy to alleviate world poverty?

The Global Poverty Act intentionally gives no specific figures but it does contain clues, and those clues are stated repeatedly in the legislation's reliance on the United Nations Millennium Development Goal. quotes Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media as saying:

"The bill defines the term 'Millennium Development Goals' as the goals set out in the United Nations Millennium Declaration..."

"In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that declaration commits nations to banning 'small arms and light weapons' and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child."

As for specific figures... reports:

"Those U.N. protocols would make U.S. law on issues ranging from the 2nd Amendment to energy usage and parental rights all subservient to United Nations whims."

"[T]he legislation, if approved, dedicates 0.7 percent of the U.S. gross national product to foreign aid, which over 13 years... would amount to $845 billion 'over and above what the U.S. already spends.'"

"The plan passed the House in 2007 'because most members didn't realize what was in it.' Congressional sponsors have been careful not to calculate the amount of foreign aid spending that it would require."

And, how would the United States pay for this $845 BILLION commitment? According to Kincaid, who published a report on the legislation; "A global tax will clearly be necessary to force American taxpayers to provide the money."

And that $845 BILLION global tax is in addition to our nation's current Foreign Aid programs, which, in 2006, cost American taxpayers about $300 BILLION!

Senator Obama's Global Poverty Act has already passed the House (many Members unfortunately voted in favor of it without carefully noting exactly what was in it) and President Bush may very well sign it!

That's why it must be stopped, and it must be stopped NOW!

It Gets Worse!

Here are some of the additional provisions of the Millennium Development Goal:

a "currency transfer tax," that is, a tax imposed on companies and individuals who must exchange dollars for foreign currency;

a "tax on the rental value of land and natural resources";

a "royalty on worldwide fossil energy projection -- oil, natural gas, coal";

"fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels."

a "standing peace force," meaning a standing United Nations army that might, in time, be large enough to force us to bend to its will;

a "UN arms register of all small arms and light weapons," the beginning of the end of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution;

the "eradication of poverty" by the "redistribution [of] wealth and land" -- How do you suppose the United Nations expects to "redistribute" the land and the wealth? And what country do you think the third-world majority will go after first?

cancellation of "the debts of developing countries,"

"a fair distribution of the earth's resources."

and "political control of the global economy."

In other words, it's a blueprint for a world government, owned and operated by the United Nations.

One thing is clear: the Millennium Development Goal is a dagger aimed at the heart of America.

While the Global Poverty Act, as presently championed by its Senate supporters, embraces certain aspects of the Millennium Development Goal, one should wonder if some of our legislators also support land and wealth "redistribution."
